Dear Lara,

The purpose of this letter is to formally and publicly commend Joseph Francis for the excellent service he has provided to my husband, and in turn myself, over the last four months. In my opinion, the level of service that Joseph extended to us was far beyond our expectations. He is a trusted professional and we have been treated with the utmost respect through his tenure with us.

He has assisted me in transitioning into a phase in my life where I am now trying to navigate through the complexities of the health care environment to provide optimal health care for my husband, and ensure his independence and dignity stay intact. I have come to rely on Joseph's insights, management skills, dependability and health care knowledge. I am hoping that he can be reassigned to my husband upon his return.

I was so impressed by the support and service provided by Joseph that I felt compelled to go on record with my praise. In an era where this kind of exceptional one-to-one client health care service is virtually under a “media microscope”, the work that Joseph did should be held up as an example for others to try to emulate.

In closing, it is my hope that this recognition of Joseph's work is noticed and acknowledged as it does shed a very positive light on the Ministry's efforts to provide patient-focused health care services closer to home.
